Waffen-SS Belt Buckle
This is a nice steel Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). This is a steel construction box belt buckle. The buckle features a smooth background with a high relief, embossed SS style national eagle surrounded by the script 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue!' (My Honour is Loyalty!). The buckle is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'Overhoff & Cie' from Lüdenscheid. The buckle is in clearly used and worn condition showing normal traces of usage. Unfortunately, this buckle was once lacquered, see photos. Still a nice original buckle!
Dit is een mooi stalen Waffen-SS manschappen/onderofficier's Koppelslot (Koppelschloß). Dit is een stalen constructie koppelslot. Het koppelslot toont een gladde achtergrond met in reliëf een SS model adelaar met daar omheen de tekst 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue!' (Mijn eer is trouw). Het koppelslot is niet zichtbaar maker gemarkeerd maar kan worden toegewezen aan productie door de firma 'Overhoff & Cie' uit Lüdenscheid. Het koppelslot is in duidelijk gebruikte en gedragen staat. Helaas is het koppelslot ooit gelakt, zie foto's. Nog steeds een mooi origineel koppelslot!
