 This is a nice aluminum Waffen-SS EM/NCO's Belt Buckle (Koppelschloß). This is an aluminum construction box belt buckle. In 1940 the aluminium belt buckles ceased production and the painted steel belt buckles where introduced for all service branches. The buckle features a smooth background with a high relief, embossed SS style national eagle surrounded by the script 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue!' (My Honour is Loyalty!). The buckle is nicely marked with 'RZM 155/40 ᛋᛋ' indicating production by the company of 'Assmann & Söhne' from Lüdenscheid in 1940. The buckle is in used condition showing normal traces of usage and some small surface pitting, it might be an early ground-dug buckle, see photos. This is the last type buckle produced in aluminum from 1940 and extremely rare and hard to find, missing from most buckle collections. Rare original buckle!

 Dit is een mooi aluminium Waffen-SS manschappen/onderofficier's koppelslot (Koppelschloß). Dit is een aluminium constructie koppelslot. In 1940 stopte de productie van aluminium koppelsloten en werden geverfde stalen sloten ingesteld voor alle leger onderdelen. Het koppelslot toont een gladde achtergrond met in reliëf een SS model adelaar met daar omheen de tekst 'Meine Ehre heißt Treue!' (Mijn eer is trouw). Het koppelslot is mooi gemarkeerd met 'RZM 155/40 ᛋᛋ' wat duidt op productie door de firma 'Assmann & Söhne' uit Lüdenscheid in 1940. Het koppelslot is in goede gebruikte staat en toont normale gebruikssporen en wat oppervlakte pitting, het kan een vroege bodemvondst zijn, zie foto's. Dit is het laatste model koppelslot dat gemaakt is van aluminium, dit is een erg moelijk te vinden koppelslot en ontbreekt in bijna alle koppelsloten collecties. Zeldzaam origineel koppelslot!
