WH (Heer) EM/NCO's Belt & Buckle
Description
Wehrmacht (Heer) Belt and Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß). On 24 January 1936 this new pattern EM/NCO’s belt buckle was officially introduced to replace the previously worn Weimar era Reichsheer buckle. The basic design of the Reichsheer buckle was retained with the addition of the new Wehrmacht style national eagle. This pattern buckle was worn through-out the Third Reich period with minor manufacturing variations and different colored finishes. The colored finish was determined by regulations depending on what form of uniform it was to be worn with. Fieldgrey painted aluminum construction metal box buckle with a pebbled background. The buckle is nicely maker marked and dated with 'B&N 37' indicating production by the company of 'Berg & Nolte' from Lüdenscheid in 1937. The buckle is complete with its original 95cms long leather belt as found together. The belt is maker marked by 'Chr. Reis' from Obertshausen and is dated 1942. The belt is in clearly used condition and named to 'Gefr Erthel' (Gefreiter). Nice original belt & buckle in good used condition!
