British Airborne (Paratrooper) Helmet. The paint of the helmet looks like it has been repainted once, this looks period done. The helmet is complete with its original liner and webbing chinstraps, the chin cup is complete with chamois lining. The large size '8' liner is nicely maker marked 'BMB' indicating production by the 'Briggs Motor Bodies Ltd.', the liner is dated 1944. The helmet is showing normal traces of usage. This is the first time I found a helmet in such a large size which in my opinion is extremely rare. Nice original 1944 dated British Airborne helmet which will be perfect for a Market Garden (Arnhem) display!
