British No.2 Mk 5 Flare Gun (No.2 Mk. V Signal Pistol). These Signal Pistols were used by British & Commonwealth Military Forces during the Second World Wars. The pistol is having a steel frame and barrel, the handle is having two bakelite grips which are held in place by a screw head bolt, there is some minor damage and cracks in the grips, these are often damaged due to their fragility. The pistol is showing some 'BNP' (Birmingham Nitro Proof) marks and it bears a serial number '793'. Nice example in good used condition, see photos. This is an original pre-1945 flare gun, exempted by the Dutch law in Article 18, paragraph 1, in d, annex II of the Rwm (Regeling Wapens en Munitie).
