Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber
'Panzerkampfabzeichen in Silber' (Panzer Assault Badge). The Panzer Assault Badge in silver was instituted by 'Generaloberst Walther von Brauchitsch' on '20 December 1939' for award to all ranks of tank personnel who served as a tank commander, driver, gunner or radio operator and had been involved in three different armored assaults on three different days. This is a nice semi-hollow 'Feinzink' example which has great detail and still retains all of it's original silver finish. The piece is nicely maker marked with 'AS' in a triagnle, still an unknown manufacturer from the Gablonz area. Of course are the pin and catch fully functional. The badge is still packed in it's original 'Cellophan' wrapping and was never issued. Stunning original badge in mint condition!
