Westwall Medal (Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen). The Westwall medal was instituted by Adolf Hitler on 2 August 1939 for military personnel, and civilian employees, who assisted in the planning and construction or defence of the German fortifications on the western border of Germany. The medal is a tombak (Buntmetall) example, complete with its original short piece of ribbon. The medail comes with its original pouch of issue, maker marked by the company of 'Carl Poellath' from Schrobenhausen. Nice set in good condition!
