Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The second class medal was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction, the cross just shows some minor wear and great detail overall, the cross is complete with its original ribbon. The cross is nicely maker marked with number '24' indicating production by the 'Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plaketten-Hersteller' from Hanau am Main. It is showing the typical wide frame. The cross is complete with its original short piece of ribbon as found. Nice original cross in good condition!
