British 'Royal Berkshire' Beret. Olive/brown woolen construction beret with two metal ventilation grommets. Original tie-adjustment string is included. The beret is nicely maker marked by 'Kangol Wear Limited' and dated 1945. The beret is sized '7¼' marked. The beret is marked with War Department Depot Code 'L' indicating 1945. There are some minor moth damages. The beret comes together with a 'Royal Berkshire' cap-badge on red woolen backing. Units of the Royal Berkshire served in the Battle of France and withdrew through Dunkirk in 1940, other units took part in Burma to fight the Japanese. Nice original 1945 dated beret in good used condition!
