 British 'S.R.D.' Stoneware Rum Jar. The Jar is marked 'S.R.D' which stood for 'Supply Reserve Depot' but often said by the troops to represent 'Seldom Reaches Destination' or 'Soon runs Dry'. These jars were issued to troops during both World War 1 and World War 2. The jar is nicely maker marked. The jar is showing normal traces of usage. The cork is replacement. Decorative original example!
