DAF Enamel Signs 'Bereitschaft Eckartsberga'

Description

 'Deutsche Arbeitsfront' (DAF) Enamel Signs (Emailleschilder) from the 'Bereitschaft (m) Eckartsberga'. The DAF (German Labor-front), originally founded in 1933, became an official NSDAP organization in October 1934. DAF’s most important goal was to enforce the political stability of the large mass of work force. This white rectangular vaulted wall plaque (Hoheitsschild) was to be used at the buildings of an office of the DAF, the small sign could hung below the large one and shows the name of the location/city (Eckartsberga). The enamel is showing normal traces of usage and some small damages on the edges/corners of the sign, see photos. The signs are not visible maker marked. The large sign is measuring approximately 49,5 x 49,5 cms, the small one 49,5 x 17,5 cms. Hard to find and decorative original enamel signs as found together!
