The M1891 pattern was introduced on 8 January 1891, the brass front visor trim was reintroduced. The helmet is complete with its original leather sweatband, the sweatband is showing a written name, it it slightly damaged, see photos. Size '57' is written inside the helmet. The helmet is complete with its original brass Officer's type chinstrap and both cocardes. The front Prussian eagle is showing a small gold-toned official's (Beamte) eagle attached just below the "FR". The spike is slightly dented. Otherwise the Pickelhaube looks in good untouched condition, see photos. Nice original Prussian spike helmet!
