World War 1 German M1915 Dress Tunic
World War 1 German M1915 Dress Tunic (Waffenrock). Nice quality, private purchase M1915 'Feldgrau' tunic or so called 'Friedensuniform'. The tunic is constructed of Feldgrau wool with red wool piping, it has 8 front closure buttons The tunic is complete with its original applied collar-tabs, cuff Litzen and a pair of original sew-in shoulder boards. The shoulder-boards are indicating service within the 'Eisenbahn-Regiment' Nr.1. Saxonian 'Gefreiter' rank buttons are applied to the collar. This could indicate that the former wearer was a Saxonian serving with the '(Königlich Sächsisches) Pionier-Bataillon' Number 12 or 22 and was transferred to the Prussian 'Eisenbahn-Regiment' Nr.1'. The tunic is not visible maker marked or named. The tunic is having one larger moth damage and some small moth damages, see photos. It is showing normal traces of usage and overall in good condition. The tunic was found in a house-cleaning like this and was not part of a collection before. Scarce original WW1 tunic!
