This is a nice Dutch Marines Gasmask & Canister (Mariniers Gasmasker). The rubber gasmask is in perfect supple condition, the gasmask is nicely dated 1039 indicating production in October 1939, the gasmask filter is dated December 1939. The canister still retains most of its original green paint and is complete with its original long carrying strap, the short strap is missing. Both the gasmask and canister are nicely marked with the soldier's service number 'Z III-7046' indicating that this soldier was a 'Zeemilicien' (Marine Engineer). The set is in very good, although uncleaned condition as recently found in a private household in The Hague. Rare original Dutch Marine Engineer's gasmask set!
