Luftwaffe FLAK Tunic Grouping

Description

Luftwaffe FLAK Tunic Grouping from Unteroffizier 'Terjung'. The grouping is including his nice high quality, privately purchased, blue/grey wool construction 1935 pattern Luftwaffe four-pocket tunic and pants (Waffenrock). The tunic features a vertical, four button, front closure. The top front closure has a War Merit Cross ribbon nicely handstitched in place. The tunic is having an early pattern drooptail breast-eagle neatly hand-stitched to the right breast. A pair of collar tabs and shoulder-boards of the sew-in type are nicely applied to the tunic, the insignia is bright-red branch-colour (Waffenfarbe) as intended for an 'Unteroffizier' within the 'Flakartillerie'. There are award-loops on the left breast for wear of an award, most likely for the Flak Artillery War Badge. A small ribbon-bar for the 1 October 1938 medal is attached to the tunic. All insignia are original applied to the tunic. The interior of the tunic is lined in light grey/blue rayon, the tunic is nicely maker marked by the tailor 'Fritz Funke & Sohn' in Iserlohn. The tunic is complete with it's original matching pair of trousers. Both the tunic and trousers are in very good only slighlty worn condition. With the grouping included is also his 'Reservistenstock' (walking stick), Luftwaffe 'Reservistenkrug' (Beer Stein) and his photo-album. The walking stick is showing a nice FLAK cannon, see photos. The Luftwaffe Beer Stein is nicely decorated. The Beer Stein is showing his name and all names from the other members of his unit: '5. Batterie, I./Flak-Regt.24, Iserlohn' 1936/38. The Beer Stein is nicely maker marked by 'Max Rornberg' in Iserlohn. The photo-album is showing the unit as well: '5. Scheinwerferbatterie, Flak-Rgt.24, Iserlohn'. The photo-album is showing about 75 photographs from his military careerd within the regiment and the RAD, the album is regrettably having some water damage but it is in overall nice condition and a great addition to the grouping and history. This grouping has been found with a house-cleaning in a private household in Germany. Sets like this don't turn up every day anymore. This would make a great FLAK display!
