German Officer's Boots
Nice pair of German Officer's Boots (Officiers hohe Stiefel). Besides the helmet, the blackened leather boot is probably one of the most instantly recognizable items of the German military. Officers and certain senior NCO ranks were responsible for purchasing their own uniforms including footwear. The Officers and certain senior NCO’s could choose to purchase their footwear from the armed forces clothing depots or to privately purchase footwear of higher quality. This is a nice quality privately purchased pair of, tall, black leather boots (Hohe Stiefel). The boots are not visible maker marked or dated. These boots date from around the WW2 period and are perfect for an officer's display. The boots are in used condition and are showing normal traces of usage. Nice pair of period black officer's boots for a fair price!
These boots originate from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum!
