Kriegsmarine Belt & Buckle on leather tab
Kriegsmarine EM/NCO's Belt & Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß mit Lederwiderhalt). The Kriegsmarine belt buckle was officially introduced on 4 August 1936, to replace the previously worn 'Reichsmarine' buckle. The Kriegsmarine buckle was identical in design to the Army EM/NCO’s belt buckle, but with gilt colored finish. Nice gilt finished aluminum buckle, the buckle is nicely maker marked with 'R.S.& S.' indicating production by the company of 'Richard Sieper & Söhne' from Lüdenscheid. The buckle shows normal wear and scratching and still retains most of its golden finish. The buckle is complete with its original matching leather tab which is also maker marked by the company of 'Richard Sieper & Söhne', based in Lüdenscheid and dated 1938. There is also a nice Kriegsmarine approval stamp. The stitching from the tab unfortunately came loose. The buckle is complete with its original 100cms long sized leather belt as found together. The belt looks to be dated 1938 as well. Hard to find original Kriegsmarine buckle in good used condition!
