Luftwaffe EM/NCO's Dress Belt & Buckle
Luftwaffe EM/NCO's Dress Belt & Buckle (Koppel und Koppelschloß). Originally the EM/NCO’s buckles were produced with a silver finish until a blue/grey version was introduced around mid-1940, and a tropical olive drab version was introduced in late 1940. The colored finish was determined by regulations depending on what form of uniform it was to be worn with. This is a nice 2-piece aluminum construction parade style box buckle with a pebbled background, the separate frontplate is attached with four prongs. This is an early type showing the 1st pattern drooptail eagle. The buckle is not visible maker marked. The buckle comes together with its original 95cms long sized lacquered and wool lined brown leather belt as found together, the set is showing clear traces of usage, see photos. Nice original early Luftwaffe parade style belt and buckle in good used condition!
