SS-VT / 'Sicherheitsdienst' Double Decal M34 Helmet (Stahlhelm M34). These helmets were first issued to the SS-VT. Later, as the SS procured the more desired M35s, they put these M34s toward the growing SiPo and SD organizations, who used them throughout the remainder of the Third Reich period. The steel construction M34 helmet retains most of its early apple-green paint. The textbook 'C.A. Pocher' type SS decal is retained for about 90% and the party decal shows some scratching and is present for about 80%. All four liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a leather liner in size '58'. A name has been written on the liner. The shell is maker marked with 'Thale Stahl'. The helmet is complete with its original chinstrap.
