Cased 1 October 1938 Medal (Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1 Oktober 1938). The Commemorative Medal of 1 October 1938 was the second of the "Anschluss" (Annexation), medal series and was introduced on 18 October 1938, for award to civilians and military personnel who participated in the "return" of the Sudetenland to Germany. The award followed the same design as the earlier, "13th März" medal, that commemorated the annexation of Austria into Greater Germany. The medal in very good condition is complete with its confectioned ribbon having an original 'Prager Burg' clasp attached. Only 134.563 examples of the 'Prager Burg' clasp have been awarded. The clasp is nicely marked with the initials 'MC'. The ribbon is missing its pin-back device. The medal comes in its original maroon-red box. The box is in good condition with some small traces of usage.  Nice original set in good condition!
