DRL Sports Badge for war-disabled (Deutsches Reichsabzeichen für Leibesübungenfür Kriegsversehrte). Originally introduced as the DRA medal shortly after the 1913 Olympic games as an incentive to promote physical training among the German population. In 1933 the DRA badge was replaced by a new DRL badge of the same design. This is a nice 'Buntmetall' piece having a gold and silver finish. The badge is maker marked by the company of 'Wernstein' from Jena, the badge is also marked with 'D.R.G.M. 35269'. Nice example in good used condition!
