Infantry Assault Badge in Silver (Infanterie Sturmabzeichen in Silber). The Infantry Assault Badge in silver was introduced on 20 December 1939 by Generaloberst 'Walther von Brauchitsch', for award to all ranks of non-motorized, Infantry and Mountain Infantry units who participated in three different assaults on three different days. The badge is executed in 'Zink' with almost all of its original silverish finish remaining showing stunning details. The pin and catch are complete and functional. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'MK' in a triangle indicating production by a manufacturer in the Gablonz area, most likely the company of 'Metall und Kunststoff'. Stunning original badge in very good, near mint, condition!
