Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery War Badge
Kriegsmarine 'Kriegsabzeichen für die Marineartillerie' (Coastal Artillery War Badge). The Coastal Artillery War Badge was introduced on 24 June 1941 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder' for award to land based Naval coastal artillery and anti-aircraft personnel in recognition of their achievements. The badge is an unmarked 'Zink' example in good condition, it lost most of its original finish and is showing some minor oxidation. The badge has great detail, and has a functional pin and catch. The badge is not visible maker marked but can very likely be attributed to the company of 'Steinhauer & Lück' in Lüdenscheid. The badge is still packed in its original 'Cellophan' wrapping and was never issued. Nice original example!
