Kriegsmarine Minesweeper War Badge (Kriegsabzeichen für Minensuch-, U-Boot-Jagd und Sicherungsverbände). The Minesweeper’s war badge was instituted on 31 August 1940 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder'. The badge is an early 'Buntmetall' version, the badge is showing great details, it is complete with a functional pin and catch. It has never been cleaned nor polished. The badge is not visible maker marked but it can be attributed to the company of 'Otto Schickle' from Pforzheim, this is a harder to find early manufacturer. The badge is having the typical die-flaw on the swastika. Nice original badge in very good condition!
