LW 'Frontflugspange für Aufklärer' in Silver
Luftwaffe Squadron Clasp for Reconnaissance Personal in Silver (Frontflugspange für Aufklärer). The Squadron Clasp for Reconnaissance Personal was introduced by 'Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring' on 30 January 1941. The clasps were awarded in three grades of, Bronze for twenty operational flights, Silver for sixty operational flights, and Gold for one hundred ten operational flights. This badge is a nice early tombak example. The clasp is not visible maker marked, it can very likely be attributed to production by the company of 'C.E. Juncker' from Berlin. The clasp has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The clasp still retains a fair amount of its original silver finish and shows a nice darkened age patina. Nice original clasp in good used condition!
