Mothers Cross in Silver (Ehrenkreuz der Deutschen Mutter). The Mother’s Cross was introduced by Adolf Hitler on 16 December 1938 as part of a large propaganda campaign aimed at increasing the birth rate. The Bronze cross was for bearing four or five children, Silver for bearing six or seven and Gold for bearing eight or more. The cross is in overall good condition, the cross comes with its original long sized ribbon and pouch of issue as found together. The carton pouch is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Petz & Lorenz, Metallwarenfabrik' from Unterreichenbach (Württbg.). This is the first Mother's Cross pouch by 'Petz & Lorenz' I've seen, definately a rare example. Nice set in good used condition!
