Description
Police 18 Years Long Service Award (Polizei-Dienstauszeichnung 18 Jahre). On 30 January 1938, Hitler instituted a series of Long Service Awards to recognize loyal long service in the German Police. The award was originally issued in three classes with the first class award for twenty-five years service, the second class award for eighteen years service and the third class award for eight years service. This is a nice silver washed second class award for eighteen years service. The medal is complete with its original confectioned ribbon showing a nicely machine embroidered police eagle. There is no pin/catch system on the back. Nice original medal in very good condition!
