WH (Heer) Award Document Grouping from Obergefreiten 'Theodor Knott', he was a member within the 'Artillerie-Regiment 11'. The grouping is consisting of 3 (DIN) A5 sized award-documents (Urkunden) and a portrait photograph. The photograph shows Theodor wearing his M36 field blouse with overseas cap. Ribbons for the Iron Cross 2nd Class and German Eastern Front Medal are sewn through one of the buttonholes. Theodor was awarded the War Merit Cross 2nd Class with Swords (Kriegsverdienst Kreuz 2. Klasse mit Schwertern) on 20 April 1941. This document was personally signed by Generalleutnant und Kommandeur der 11. Division 'Herbert von Böckmann', a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. This document is in damaged and repaired condition, see scans. Theodor was awarded with the Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) on 23 October 1941 and on 28 June 1943, Theodor was awarded with the German Eastern Front Medal (Medaille für die Winterschlacht im Osten). Both documents have been folded once but are in good condition. The Iron Cross 2nd Class award document has also personally been signed by Herbert von Böckmann.
