WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap
WH (Heer) Infantry EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is a nice privately purchased EM/NCO's example, the celluloid sweat-diamond ('Raute') is damaged, the logo of the manufacturer has faded out but can be still be seen and the cap is marked 'Deutsche Wertarbeit'. A name-tag has been partly removed but is still '12 (M.G.)J.R.71' unit marked. The Visor cap is piped in the white 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for Infantry personnel. The brown leather sweatband is in good condition, see photos. The cap is complete with its original zinc-type cap eagle and aluminum cocarde. The cap is having a blackened patent leather chinstrap. The cap is showing clear traces of usage and some small (moth)damages, see photos. Nice original visor cap in good used condition!
