WH (Heer) 9th Grade Shooting Lanyard (Schützenschnur 9.Stufe). This is the second model lanyard as used from 1939. The highest grades of the shooting lanyards had three gilded knots and a bronze toned shield, this one has no acorns attached stating that it deals with the 9th grade of this decoration. The CupAl type shield is showing a Wehrmacht style eagle above a shield with crossed swords in an oakleaf wreath and is showing a stunning bronze finish. It has a nice woolen backing cloth showing a maker marking. This lanyard would look great when re-attached to a tunic or 'Waffenrock'. The lanyard is in very good condition with normal age and usage toning. Extremely rare and hard to find 9th grade example!
