Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse). On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, the cross does still have the neat so-called: 'Hochpolierte Kanten'. The cross comes with its original 12cms long ribbon as found. The cross is maker marked with number '4' indicating production by the company of 'Steinhauer & Lück' from Lüdenscheid. Nice example in stunning mint and unissued condition!
