Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with a magnetic iron core, the cross is showing some rust and paint loss. The cross comes with its original short piece of ribbon as found. The cross is not visible maker marked. Nice original cross in in heavily used condition for a fair price!
