Iron Cross 2nd Class (Eisernes Kreuz 2. Klasse) with ribbon. On 1 September 1939 Hitler reinstituted the Iron Cross (First time in 1813). The 2nd class cross was for award to personnel who performed a single act of bravery in combat. The cross has a three piece construction with an iron core, the cross just shows some minor wear and has great detail overall. The cross comes with its original 6cms long ribbon as found. The cross is not visible maker marked but can be attributed to production by the company of 'Katz & Deyhle' from Pforzheim which is a rare and hard to find maker. Nice example in very good condition!
