Badge For Naval Pilots On Seaplanes (Abzeichen für Marine Flugzeugführer auf Seeflugzeugen). The Badge For Naval Pilots On Seaplanes was originally introduced on 31 May 1913 by 'Kaiser Wilhelm'. All soldiers, regardless of rank, were eligible once they successfully completed the training at a naval aircraft station and thus received a certificate of proficiency as a naval pilot. The gilded badge is nicely maker marked by the company of 'H. Schaper' from Berlin. The badge shows very nice & pronounced detail overall. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. This is an late war (around 1918) type badge and was a private purchased type badge, it comes in its original private purchased type jeweller's box by 'Hugo Schaper'. Stunning and rare original badge in very good, mint and unissued, condition!
