Dutch M16 Combat Helmet (Stalen Helm Model 16A). The stamped sheet steel construction M16 helmet retains most of it's original green paint. All liner retaining rivets are intact. The interior of the helmet is a leather liner complete with original liner-cord, the felt protection pads are present, however slightly (moth)damaged. The leather of the liner is still in good supple condition. The liner is marked with some service numbers. The helmet is complete with its original leather chinstrap. There are some normal damages and scratches caused by usage, see photos. Nice original early model Dutch combat helmet in good used condition! This helmet originates from a Dutch resistance fighter called 'Frans Soomers' who helped poeple to hide during the German occupation in Eygelshoven (Limburg).
