Kriegsmarine Coastal Artillery War Badge (Kriegsabzeichen für die Marineartillerie). The Coastal Artillery War Badge was introduced on 24 June 1941 by Oberbefehlshaber der Kriegsmarine und Großadmiral 'Erich Raeder' for award to land based Naval coastal artillery and anti-aircraft personnel in recognition of their achievements. The badge is an early 'Buntmetall' version in good condition, still showing a fair amount of its original finish and having a nice patina. The badge is complete with its functional pin but regrettably having a repaired catch. The badge is nicely maker marked with 'Fec Otto Placzek Berlin, ausf. C.E.Juncker Berlin'. Despite the repaired catch still a rare original early badge in good used and worn condition!
