WH (Heer) Zeltbahn 31 - 1940
WH (Heer) M31 Shelter Quarter (Zeltbahn 31). The shelter quarter served buttoned together to form a four-man tent (or larger), it could also be worn as a poncho to give protection against rain, and it served as camouflage during a battle. It is made of tightly woven cotton drill with the "splitter pattern" camouflage, which showed light colors on one side and dark colors on the other. This example is still showing bright colours. The shelter quarter looks to be complete with most of its aluminum dish type buttons and eyelets, a few buttons are missing. The Zeltbahn is nicely maker marked by 'Weber & Ott' and dated 1940. It is showing normal traces of usage, some staining and small damages caused by usage, see photos. Nice original army issue Zeltbahn in good used condition!
