1st pattern British Army Windproof 'Trousers, Drab'. These windproof trousers were introduced in 1942 along with the matching smock in the same material. These were intended to be worn over the battle dress with any equipment to be worn over the smock & trousers. The trousers are complete with manufacturers label, the trousers were produced by the company 'Sterling Rubber Co.' from Manchester in 1942, the trousers are size 2 marked. The trousers are showing a nice War Department acceptance stamp with the letter 'O' which denotes the year of 1942. The trousers are showing normal traces of usage and some staining. Rare and hard to find early pair of windproof trousers in good used condition!
