Description
British Army Machete with Scabbard. During world war 2, the British and Commonweatlh soldiers were often issued a machete as opposed to an ax or smaller hatchet for field use. The machete was easier to carry and was as effective for most tasks short of chipping down large trees. The machete is nicely maker marked by the company 'Martindale' from Birmingham, the light brown leather scabbard is maker marked and dated 'S.L. 1944'. Nice machete and scabberd in very good, near mint, condition!
