Dutch Waffen-SS 'Alles Sal Reg Kom' Propaganda Poster. On this poster, Paul Kruger, former president of the South African Republic, is pictured above a marcheing column of Waffen SS soldiers. Kruger was born in South Africa and came to be a very important part of the country's history. He led the Boer struggle against the British, and came to be seen in many countries as a freedom fighter who fought against the mighty British Empire. After losing the Second Boer War, he fled to Europe, where he lived his last three years before he passed away in Switzerland in 1904. The phrase "Alles sal reg kom" (everything will be fine) was a popular phrase used on paintings, magazines and many other places. It has often been attributed to Kruger, but actually comes from J.H Brand, president of the Orange Free State. The phrase in its entirety reads "alles sal reg kom als elkeen sy plig doen" (everything will be fine if everyone does their duty). The poster is sized approximately 60 x 44 cms. The poster shows two small tears and is otherwise in perfect condition, see photos. The poster has been professionally framed. One of the most decorative SS recruitment posters in a perfect display size, hard to find and ready to be mounted to the wall of a collection room or museum.
