RAF 1936 Pattern Flying Boots

Description

World War 2 British RAF (Royal Airforce) 1936 Pattern Flying Boots. The leather of the boots is in good condition, the boots are complete with their original soles and 'made in England' marked Good Year rubber heels. The fleece lining inside the shafts is almost totally gone, see photos. The pulls are nicely A.M. (Air Ministry) marked and having a 1939 dated code, the marking indicates; Size 9 Fitting 6. Both boots are nicely named to 'W/O H.Roberts' with his unique service number '642286', H.Roberts is mentioned as a Sergeant in the 1944 King's Birthday Honours, celebrating the official birthday of King George VI, which were announced on 2 June 1944. Rare original pair of early pre-war dated 1936 Pattern RAF Flying Boots, these would be great for a Battle of Britain display!
