WH 'Jäger' Officer's Medal & Insignia Grouping
Wehrmacht (Heer) 'Jäger' Officer's Medal & Insignia Grouping as intended for an 'Oberleutnant' within the 'Jäger-Regiment 83'. The grouping is consisting of his shoulder-boards having the regimental cyphers '83' attached and his collar tabs, both in clearly tunic removed condition and showing the green 'Jäger' (Gebirgsjäger) branch colour. His medals consist of his black wound badge (maker marked '81' - Overhoff & Cie), an unmarked Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, a denazified Iron Cross 1st Class (maker marked 'L/11' - Wilhelm Deumer) and a beautiful 'Krim' Campaign Shield having a period added dark-green backing cloth. Interesting original grouping as recently found in a house-cleaning in Germany, this set has not been in a collection before. Stunning untouched set of medals & insignia from one officer!
