Cased Imperial Bavarian Pilots Badge
This is a stunning original cased German Bavarian Pilots Badge (Bayern Militär-Flugzeugführerabzeichen). The WW1 Bavarian Pilot's badge was originally introduced on 14 February 1913 by 'Prinz Ludwig III., König von Bayern'. All pilots, regardless of rank, were eligible. The badge is a nice example made of silver, it's 'SILBER' marked. The badge is nicely maker marked by the company of 'Karl Pöllath' from Schrobenhausen. The badge shows very nice & pronounced detail overall. The badge has naturally a functional pin & catch construction. The badge comes in its rare matching burgundy red coloured case. The case is in good used condition regrettably showing some damage on the lid, see photos. The case is nicely marked 'Carl Poellath, k.b. Hoflieferant' from Schrobenhausen. Desirable and rare original cased WW1 Bavarian pilot's badge in very good condition!
