Dutch NAD Field Blouse

Description

'Nederlandsche Arbeidsdienst' (Dutch labour service) Field Blouse. Modified and dyed pre-war Dutch combat tunic as intended for Dutch volunteers serving in the NAD. The NAD was the Dutch equivalent for the German RAD. There is a seven-button front closure, the buttons are brown finished, pebbled metal examples. The collar-tabs are hand-sewn to the collar, the collar-tabs are having a wool burgundy-coloured background, one of the metal collar-tab insignia is slightly damaged. There are some small moth damages and normal traces of usage. The tunic is nicely marked and dated with Dutch pre-war markings 'MA 1918'. The tunic comes with an unknown type of armband as found with some NAD items from a private household in the Netherlands. Scarce original jacket in good used condition, not often offered for sale!
