Combat worn P38 Pistol Holster 'bla 1944'

Description

WH (Heer)/Waffen-SS P38 Pistol Holster (Pistolentaschen P38). When issued the P38 came with a specific holster to be worn on the left side of the load carrying waist belt. The blackened brown leather construction second pattern soft-shell holster has two belt-loops on the back. The holster body also has a stitched on spare magazine pocket. The softshell holster is nicely marked on the back with 'P38' and maker marked and dated with 'bla 1944' indicating production by the company 'E.G. Leuner GmbH' from Bautzen in 1944. The holster is in clearly used and combat worn condition, the leather is still supple. It is hard to find these holsters in actually worn condition, they are easier to find in mint and unissued condition. Nice original late war combat worn P38 pistol holster!
