German Red Cross (DRK) Hewer Leather Frog (Koppelschuh für Hauer). In December 1937 the DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) gained status as a legally recognized organization by the NSDAP. As with other essential services in Third Reich Germany, it came under control of the NSDAP. This is a leather frog for the DRK Hewer. The frog is nicely marked by 'Franz Brehme' from Walsrode and dated 1941. Hard to find original DRK Hewer's frog in very good condition!
