This is a nice original Luftwaffe 'Flakartillerie' (Anti-Aircraft Artillery) EM/NCO's Visor Cap (Schirmmütze). Visor caps were a standard item for all armed forces personnel during the Third Reich period. Although enlisted personnel were issued their caps from government supplies they were also permitted to purchase privately tailored caps. This is an official Luftwaffe issue cap, the sweatdiamond is present and nicely maker marked by the company of 'Willy Sprengpfeil' from Hamburg and dated 1938. The cap is size '58' marked. The leather sweatband is in very good supple condition, see photos, the cap is unit marked on the inside of the sweatband for the 'I/Flak 76' (Flak-Regiment 76). The cap is having the red 'Truppenfarbe' (branch-colour) for personnel serving within the Flakartillerie. The simulated leather chinstrap is in good condition. The cap is complete with its original aluminum cocarde and cap-eagle. The cap is in overall very good condition with minor traces of storage.
