WH (Heer/Luftwaffe) Close Combat Fighting Knife (Infanteriemesser 42) or also called 'Nahkampfmesser'. These fighting knifes were mainly issued to the Luftwaffe but issued by other troops as well, sometimes called boot-knife. The Fighting Knife is not visible maker marked, the blade is in good used condition, see photos. The metal scabberd retains most of its original black paint but is showing some surface rust. The knife is having wooden grips. Nice original Fighting Knife in good used condition!

This knife originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display on the mannequin in the last picture!
