WH 'Affe' M1934 - Regiment General Göring
Wehrmacht 'Affe' Backpack M1934 with fur flap (Tornister 34). This backpack was introduced on 1 November 1934. The cowhide was to protect against rain. The Affe is complete with its original leather carrying straps, the protective mess kit pouch is still present as well. The Affe is nicely maker marked by the company 'Robert Larsen' from Berlin and dated 1935, the leather carrying straps are maker marked and dated 1935 as well. On the inside of the flap is a nice black ink marking indicating that the backpack belonged to a soldier within the '1./Rgt.General Göring' (Regiment General Göring). Both leather carrying straps are nicely 'General Göring' unit marked as well. One of the metal roller-buckles has been periodically replaced. The backpack shows normal traces of usage and age but is in overall good and complete condition, see photos. Nice original backpack with a rare unit marking!
