WH Entrenching Tool Carrying Case
This is a nice original Wehrmacht (Heer) Shovel/Entrenching Tool Carrying Case (Spatentasche). The entrenching tool was a basic item issued to all EM/NCO’s and was issued with a specific carrying case that was to be worn on the belt. The early type carrying case is made of darkbrown leather and is having two leather loops and could be worn on the load carrying waist belt. The carrying case is marked with an early Reichswehr type 'WaA' marking. The carrying case is in clearly used condition showing normal traces of usage and some loose stitching, see photos. Hard to find original example in good used condition!
This case originates from the collection of the recently closed Eyewitness Museum and was in display in the diorama in the last picture!
